Dr Nora Tischler's work explores how nonclassical optical states can be created, measured and applied in future quantum technologies such as photonic information processing and quantum networking.
At Griffith University, Dr Tischler is a Senior Lecturer in the Queensland Quantum and Advanced Technologies Research Institute. Within the Centre, she will develop high-quality photonic resource states, qudit technologies, hybrid entanglement sources and entanglement distribution for connecting separate modules, and rare-earth-based optical interfaces. Her research will contribute to integrated photonic architectures that combine state generation, quantum memories and optical networking.
Dr Tischler is an active mentor and contributor to equity and inclusion initiatives in quantum science. As chair of QPI's Career Development subcommittee, she will oversee mentoring, professional development and training opportunities designed to support researchers across different career stages and pathways.
