Xanda Kolesnikow is a PhD student in the Quantum Theory Group at the University of Sydney. The focus of his thesis is on bosonic error correction and protected superconducting qubits, but he is broadly interested in reducing the hardware overhead for quantum error correction by understanding the underlying physics of the platform it is being implemented on. He enjoys collaborating with experimentalists as well as learning and developing new theory.
